I know there are dozens of tutorials out there, and I understand the basics of taking an IR shot. I myself On a Hoya R72, and recently started toying with it a bit to figure out how the whole process works.
Upon taking a couple photographs, I see that They are red and the vegetation is either pure white, or has a small hue of pink. Some tutorials are saying that that is normal while others are saying that the pictures should have a sepia look to them even before editing in PS.
So I put my red and white/pink pictures into PS and go into channel mixer. I make the red 0 and the blue 100 and then proceed into blue, and make the blue 0 and the red 100.
My result though just looks like a very blue picture, not what they say it should look like.
Confused about it, I tried just taking the original red and white/pink image and just de-saturating it or making it B&W and it looks dull and not very vibrant, like most IR photos on DA do.
I guess I'm just a little confused.
Anyways, Your picture is breathtaking and I give it my humble two thumbs up. Great work.
